Each project is initiated with a kick-off introducing all collaborating stakeholders and team members involved in the lifecycle of the project.

Post kickoff, very frequent deep-dive calls are scheduled with the key stakeholders to gather detailed business requirements. All existing pain-points and/or expectations on the to-be state get documented as key input into the overall architecture and design.

For all projects, we require, at a minimum, a partial sandbox environment for each of the systems involved in the project – Salesforce & ERP, if in scope and especially if this is a production CRM in use.

Leverage industry best practices to design the to-be architecture. Focus on leveraging out-of-box processes as much as possible to allow for maintainability with minimal overhead in the future.

Put together to-be process flow in a spreadsheet with:

  1. roles depicted in columns,
  2. step wise user actions in rows, and
  3. any integration or automated workflows in the middle section.
  4. Document actions to be taken at the integrated ERP system (NetSuite, Dynamics etc.) to complete the end-to-end flow in the streamlined system.

Get sign-off on the to-be process to ensure stakeholder buyin prior to implementation stage.

Leveraging the signed-off business requirements along with the to-be process, complete the required configurations, creation of custom objects, implementation of various triggers and custom code as needed in the provided Sandbox environment.

Agile methodology is followed to ensure that frequent demonstrations of partially completed requirements can be made.

Test Classes are created for every single customization and custom code to ensure that all corner cases are accounted for.

Unit Testing is conducted using each Test Class to ensure that expected results are achieved.

In this phase, the user will conduct end-to-end testing to validate the streamlined and integrated (if ERP integration is in scope of the project) testing to ensure that it demonstrates the to-be process.

Any feedback received gets  incorporated during this phase.

User Training is provided to key personnel and stakeholders on the newly implemented process.

Post UAT and incorporation of feedback, with customer sign-off, preparation is made to migrate from sandbox to production environment at the scheduled go-live date.

A weekly status update call is scheduled to review:

  1. key accomplishments for the past week,
  2. any roadblocks or red flags get raised to help get them cleared out,
  3. any items that require decisions to be made, 
  4. plan for next week

Absolutely. Post review of the requirements, along with expectations for on-going day-to-day administration, a cost effective approach can be easily put together to help you on that front.

Our mantra is always to stay as much in-the-box as possible so as to minimize cost as well as maintenance overhead over the long term.

But if there is a need to develop a custom APEX code with custom objects, the team with years of experience implementing add-on turnkey products can easily take on such projects. 

Not usually. We recommend excellent 3rd party vendors who have a very strong solution that can meet the needs of the most complex integrations including Salesforce – NetSuite, Salesforce – Dynamics amongst others.

Duration can vary greatly based on the following scenarios:

  • How well documented are the business requirements at the start of the project.
  • Availability of key stakeholders and Executive Sponsor to clear roadblocks along the way especially for integration projects.
  • Availability and schedule of multiple collaborating parties if the project involves ERP integration
  • Custom development requires thoughtful time for architecture, design, development, unit testing and integration testing.

Depending upon the complexity, ERP integration projects can take between 1.5 months up to 3 months.

Standard Salesforce CPQ only projects can take between 1 month to 2 months based on the complexity.

For each project, we reserve dedicated time for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure that the project delivers on the business requirements prior to Go Live.

The pricing can vary based on:

  • the complexity of the Salesforce implementation – CPQ or CPQ with Billing,
  • whether it includes integration with an ERP system,
  • whether there is need for significant custom development using custom objects,
  • timelines of the project which may require multiple resources to work simultaneously
  • whether this is a day-to-day administration and support requirement.

Of course. We typically include between 30 to 60 days of support for any changes implemented by our team depending upon the project complexity.
